List of Casio ROM Packs

<-- Back to the Casio ROM Packs Page

Below is a partial list of Casio ROM Packs. Information in this list was obtained from a multitude of sources including auction listings and various Web sites, so is probably not completely accurate, and is almost certainly incomplete.

If you have any additions or corrections for the list, of if you can fill in any missing (or better) pictures of packs, please tell me!

Please note that I do not own all of the ROM Packs on this list.

Note on Audio Samples: Different keyboard models render the ROM Pack tunes differently. Where audio samples are available, the keyboard on which the tune was played is given in brackets.

Casio were very kind to future collectors, and assigned each ROM pack a unique 3-digit number, prefixed "RO-". Some Japanese releases also have a single-letter suffix, the significance of which is unknown.

Here comes the list (last updated 8th July 2010):

Some of the songs on this pack are not as I remember from my childhood. "The Alphabet Song" is basically "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" slightly modified to make it fit a recitation of the alphabet, while "Ten Little Indians" I know better as "Michael Finnegan". The tune called "Mary Had a Little Lamb" is "Merrily We Roll Along". I have never heard "Mary Had a Little Lamb" sung to this tune - I only ever knew it as a rhyme.

The tune list on the pack label is in the wrong order. Tune 1 is actually "Top Of The World" while Tune 10 is "A Time For Us". The accompanying booklet lists the tunes in the correct order.

The list at WarrantyVoid also gives an additional tune 14. Call Me (Theme From "American Gigolo") which is not present on my example.

This ROM was bundled with a CT-840 keyboard. It is the only ROM I have seen that was published by "Hal Leonard Publishing Corporation." The original release dates of the songs suggests that this pack was published no earlier than 1990.
RO-582DH Tunes & Rhythms[20 "Tunes" in total. Numbers 1 to 5 are demo tunes, 6 to 17 are rhythms only (when played on a keyboard they simply start the corresponding rhythm with no accompaniment). Number 18 starts the Rock rhythm with a fill-in every 8th bar. Numbers 19 and 20 play single notes - C#4 and A4 respectively - presumably for tuning purposes. ]Special ROM designed for use in Casio Digital Horns, but works in keyboards.
My example is Japanese.
