Description
OK, no keyboard web site would be complete without at least a token
reference to this little thing. It seems to have acquired a cult
following, presumably as a result of it having been used on numerous
famous records in the early 1980s.
Although first introduced in around 1980, the VL-1 was still a current
model into the late 1980s, even when much more sophisticated models
were available, such was its popularity.
It was also sold in various territories as the
Realistic Concertmate-200, the
Liwaco LW-610 and the
Electronica IM-46, with only
cosmetic differences.
Obviously for such a famous keyboard there isn't anything I can say
about it that hasn't already been said. If you want to know more, check
the manual (below) or search the Web.
Personally, I find it uninteresting and unremarkable, but to each his own.
